''The Trouble With Father'' - A Very Rainy Day
An episode of popular 1950s sitcom "The Trouble with Father". This episode originally aired 22 February 1952. This was an early example of a comedy without a laugh-track. I like this episode because it is set during a storm and has the sound of rain and occasional thunder. Amazing also that we can watch television from over 60 years ago. The "Willie Best" character is dated, but still, could be worse. (note: this copy is missing the closing credits)

This episode aired 22 February 1952 over whatever stations of ABC that showed it....ABC had a weak affiliate line-up, as weak as DuMont's (maybe weaker), so scheduling may be erratic. In New York City this aired on ABC flagship station WJZ, aired against "Man Against Crime" on WCBS, "We, The People" on WNBT, "Not for Publication" on WABD, "Let's Go Places" on WPIX, and women wrestling on WATV. Hmm....
